Gedicht: Truth or dare

Many things may seem to compete for your attention.
As if they are calling you out.
Nowadays it's often a bluff,
A distraction of what truly matters.

The sacredness of life itself,
Goes beyond the superficial.
It's more than meets the eye,
As it takes a closer look.

One may inquire into depth,
What truly is going on.
The motivational force,
Keeping life spinning will let you know.

Things may seem readily available,
The gullible buy it.
Precious things are ignored or trashed,
Bashed into pieces.

But the heart knows of truthfulness,
Beating like a drum.
Calling upon mankind,
To leave stupidity behind.

We may bargain for goods,
Forfeit our lives.
When the circle is round,
We are bound to let go.

Truthfulness requires,
To feel what inspires.
A bit of fresh air,
In the moment of truth or dare.
