Gedicht: Drifting onward

I wander lost along the fading streets of known,
Where grey and green once held their hue.
There was hope, even in walking alone,
But what once was bright now fades from view.

As time drifts by and leaves fall once more,
So too does my hope, scattered on the floor.
I stand at the crossroads, lost in between—
Where should I place my weary feet?

I smile at strangers along the way,
Hoping they’ve not met the same cruel fate.
But their walls hold no space for smiles,
And so, I walk alone once more.

winter is ongoing, and so am I in my journey through burnout. I hope no one will have the same fate.
