Gedicht: Runnig away

I’ve noticed the chaos within me lately,
In the quiet practice of standing still.
And in the end, it has mattered greatly
For the sound of silence seems shrill.

I’ve been running away all my life.
Running, walking, always creeping.
To keep myself from the edge of the knife.
To keep my soul from sleeping.

Now, at last, the sleep has come.
For the danger has passed and gone.
I’ve noticed myself softly hum,
Because a line has been drawn.

After so long, i can finally stop running, think over what has happened and what has been created.
I can finally undo the things that kept me fleeing from myself for too long.
