Gedicht: The lost-and-found

If ever you found me in the lost-and-found
it's cause i was searching for homeward bound
since you've been gone away i went astray
cause i felt lost and haven't got a place to stay

do you recall our moments of endearment
yet nowadays i fully suffer under this torment
of you leaving me behind disturbed and lost
don't you understand i want you back at any cost

won't you consider and mend this broken heart
i am - you know - and i think, just like Descartes
i shall bury you every day with dozens of flowers
and overwhelm you with sweet kisses by the hours.
