Gedicht: My solitude

This solitude I am craving,
only found in the embrace of darkness.
As lights brighten when daylight is fading,
everything turns to stillness, starkness.

For I alone walk these paths,
where the wind keeps me company,
Alone with my struggles and contrasts,
dreaming of what I could someday be.

The lights grow more distant,
my shadow fades out of sight.
Looking back, I feel resistant,
unwilling to make myself alight.
