A lady from Old Pasture Lane,
gained publicity and fame,
for she was an amateur sleuth,
eager to reveal the truth.

Miss Marple is astute and quirky,
clears murder cases tough and murky.
Her closest friend is Mister Stringer,
librarian and devoted winner.

Scotland Yard Inspector Craddock
now and then he's wreaking havoc,
but Jane and Jim have kept their cool
make the inspector look a fool.

The movies directed by George Pollock
are like a four-leaved shamrock,
based on Misses Christie's novels,
they are like cinematic cobbles.
